Magazine Chair - From White to Bright!

I used to have piles of magazines laying around my room, and I hated the thought of just throwing them out. I was bored one day and decided my plain white chair needed a little something extra; ever since, I've been obsessed with finding new ways to reuse my magazines and make something awesome with them.

This was my first project that I used old magazines for. I started it about 5 years ago and gradually worked on it for about a year afterwards. I just cut out colors, patterns, pictures and words that caught my attention as I went through a magazine and used a combination of Elmer's School Glue and water to adhere the cut-outs to the chair with a foam brush. I also put a few layers over the entire section when I was done so it would stay there and look neat.

  1. Clever and unique! Imagine a set of tables and chairs in a themed design ... sweet!

FYI...I followed a link from Marsha's Spot talent award post to here.

    Blessings & a bit o' sunshine!

  2. Thanks so much Ruthi! If I ever find the time, I totally want to make a set that way.:)
